BIO-CARPET vs. CYPRESS, HARDWOOD AND PINE MULCH

BIO-CARPET is particle sized and contains no "dagger" like pieces. Mulch is simply shredded and can contain long, sharp, and potentially dangerous pieces.

BIO-CARPET products are engineered from the wood of the tree and contain far less bark than does mulch.

Landscape mulch is primarily bark and does a good job at retaining moisture which is good for shrubs, flowers and trees, but when used in playgrounds promotes wet clothes. Bark breaks down and degrades into "potting soil". Also, bark tends to stick to clothing and is carried into buildings.

BIO-CARPET does not become compacted and retains its resiliency. Landscape mulch, with its high bark content, breaks down and does become compact, loosing much of its ability to absorb impacts.
